An all-volunteer 501(c)(3) charity, founded in 1999, raising money for Oak Ridge High School -- its students, its teachers, and its classrooms.
The Oak Ridge High School Foundation was founded in 1999 by Ann Root, Troy Miller, and Anthony Scotch. Our legal name is Oak Ridge High School Community Foundation and our EIN is 68-0442001. We are a 501(c)(3) charity; the IRS granted our exempt status in February 2002.
The Foundation is its own charity, with its own EIN, its own volunteer board, and its own IRS filings. We are headquartered at Oak Ridge High School. Our fiscal year ends June 30, and we file IRS Form 990-EZ.
The Foundation has no paid staff. Every board member and every event volunteer is unpaid.
Oak Ridge does not have a PTA or PTSA. The Foundation raises money for the school as a whole -- students, teachers, classrooms, and campus. Our 2023-2026 giving summary totals $232,016, spent on student programs, teacher development, classroom technology, campus and facilities, classroom learning, and student support. The Foundation has also funded scholarships for graduating seniors.
Oak Ridge is also home to three booster clubs -- Sports Boosters, Music Boosters, and Theater Arts Boosters. We share a campus with them, and families are welcome to support all of us.
The Foundation is governed by a volunteer Executive Board of seven members.
If you would like to talk with us about joining the board, or about helping with a single event, email the Foundation and tell us what you like to do.

The Foundation was started in 1999 to raise money for Oak Ridge High School, which opened in 1980.
