Foundation golf tournament: Saturday, October 24 at X-Golf. Details on the Golf Tournament page.
The Oak Ridge High School Foundation has funded teacher development, classroom learning, technology, and campus projects at Oak Ridge High School. This page is where a teacher or staff member asks the Foundation to fund something for their students.
It covers what the Foundation has funded, what to put in a request, and how to send one.
This page is for people who work with students at Oak Ridge High School.
The Oak Ridge High School Foundation is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Its IRS legal name is Oak Ridge High School Community Foundation and its EIN is 68-0442001. It supports the whole school -- the library, classroom learning, technology, campus projects, teacher development, and scholarships.
The Foundation has no paid staff. It is run entirely by volunteers.
In 2026 the Foundation published a giving summary covering 2023 through 2026. It reported $232,016 given to Oak Ridge, divided this way:
- Student programs -- 41.5 percent
- Teacher development -- 19.9 percent
- Technology -- 14.3 percent
- Campus and facilities -- 12.2 percent
- Classroom learning -- 7.7 percent
- Student support -- 4.4 percent
Those figures cover all of the Foundation's giving in that period, not only requests that came from teachers.
The Blue and Gold Gala held on February 21, 2026 named library modernization as its fund-a-need.
Each request is considered on its own. Something the Foundation funded once is not a commitment to fund it again.
The Foundation has no paid staff, so every part of its work, including reading requests, is done by volunteers.
The Foundation is run by volunteers, so a short and clear request is the easiest kind to act on. These questions are a good starting point:
- What you need, and what it would let your students do
- What it costs, as closely as you can estimate it
- How many students it reaches, and in which courses or programs
- When you need it
- Whether you have any other funding for it
- How to reach you
Fill out the form below and it goes to the Foundation. If you would rather write to us, you can send the same information by email.
If the Foundation funded something in your classroom, the Foundation would like to hear how it went. Teacher accounts are how the rest of the school community learns what the Foundation has funded.
